Parks are for everyone. Take care of yours is a typographic poster campaign that celebrates New York City’s green spaces and promotes park stewardship and equity across the city.

The poster depicts a topographical view of a park created with type. I generated the words seen throughout the poster in a brainstorm about what parks are and what they mean to the community. These words quickly became the building blocks of the poster. Green space, mental health, community, food, sports, wellness, music, art, culture, shade, activity, empowering, public space, family, and friends are the words that appear on the poster. I could have included so many more.

This accompanying brochure is both an informative tool and a resource for park equity and conservation efforts in NYC. New Yorkers need to work together to make sure that everyone has access to well maintained parks with solid infrastructure and community organized events.
