awareness campaign (WIP)

Fall 24

During my Fall 24 semester I had the unique opportunity to work with the Pratt Manhattan Library as part of my graphic design class. The brief included the following objectives:

  • Make signage consistent
    across the library

  • Develop a print and digital awareness campaign to get students into the library

This project is ongoing and continues to evolve. Next semester the Pratt Brooklyn Library invited me to do a signage audit and make signage templates for them.

Below are selected sides from my initial presentation to the library. I designed two signage options, with two color palettes.

After receiving feedback, I went forward with producing the signs. Production is still in progress. Green signs communicate library information, orange signs communicate library courtesy or behavior, and cyan signs are directional. I used a split complimentary color palette to make the signs bold and distinct, but still cohesive.

The second objective of the Pratt Manhattan Library project was to create a poster and digital campaign to try and get more students to visit the library.

After looking to the poster series from the Yale Architecture School and the New York Public library for inspiration, I decided to make expressive typographic posters that highlight the services and space of the library. I placed emphasis on it being on the 4th floor so that students immediately know where to find it.

These posters are still in progress, and will be animated for social media and digital platforms.
